So it sounds like it is in your anti-virus software? I would either put in exceptions or find another package that will allow exceptions.
Dan Goldberg From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tom Frederick Sent: Wednesday, June 17, 2015 1:14 PM To: RBASE-L Mailing List Subject: [RBASE-L] - Slow network, again We keep having sporadic performance issues on our network. As a single user, the database just flies. Getting 4-5 people on will have an expected slightly slower performance. This morning we had a count of 5-10 secs before screens change or you get tossed back to a previous menu screen. Network stats showed CPU and Memory are hardly working, but R/W activities are 100% maxed out. This afternoon it is back to normal performance. System is Win7 with MS SBS Server. Database is compiled 64, 5/29 updates, and embedded engine. It is excluded from any checking and scratch is set. Network is wired with 1gig connections. We have turned off some Symantec programs and SQL(SBS monitor). The monitor turns back on and it really sucked up resources this morning. We have looked at moving from SBS server or putting the Database on its own server. Win 7 has been a hassle from day 1. Any suggestions are appreciated.
