Charley,
As a test, run the cursor down [F8] the rows of the region after the
insert and see if the row appears. I haven't been down this exact
path, but in editing a table where a row is inserted by an eep, the
only ways I've found to display the new row was to use a play-back
file to [F8]/[F7] down/up the region, or to do as you have and exit
and re-edit. The former is much too fussy to do routinely, the latter
looks a bit hokey.... choices choices <g>
