Charley,

The "Insufficient memory to continue this function" message became my
problem as well.

And after some testing and trying out other methods, I found that EEP
commands such as (NEXTROW,PREVROW,NEXTTAB,PREVTAB) causes this. So, as a
suggestion from a co-worker, I started to use the playback files (for
F8,F7,Shift-F8,Shift-F7) he made and the message disappeared.

I also noticed another effect the NEXTROW (and probably the others as well)
in an EEP.
The place I work, the developers are changing code as the users are using
the application, (kinda like working on a car as it speeds down the
raceway). The EEP that contained the NEXTROW command always gets a file
sharing lock (even though, the process already hit the RETURN command).
However, if I change the NEXTROW to a PLAYBACK F8.rpf, I can edit the EEP
while the user(me... testing it) still using the application. Mind you this
EEP is being called pretty deep in the application.

Try the playback files and see if it works for you.

Subject: RE: view not updating

Thanks to everyone for all of their input. From your comments and from
experimenting further it appears that the view isn't updating automatically
by design - it's being "driven" by the parent table on the form. The PREVTAB
and RECALC TABLE did the trick for getting the noneditable view (child
table) to refresh.

I had planned on keeping the NONHD view the active table and tried setting a
variable vpart = 2, and then on entry into row in table 1 checking for that
value. If that value is 2, then execute a NEXTTAB to place back on the view.

After getting the error message "Insufficient memory to continue this
function" I have decided to stop being so greedy and be content with the
form etc for now..

Thanks again!

Charley
