Send output to a file. Then copy the file to the network printer cue.

You should be able to got to a DOS prompt, and type
NET USE
Will tell you all fthe available remote names. You should find your printer
que.

i just created a text file : x.txt
copy x.txt \\oakpark\hpdeskje
sent the contents to the networked deskjet

Subject: RE: Printing to High Speed Dot Matrix Printer from Windows

Dear folks

Many thanks to those of you who responded with ideas. We are still not
there. The most promising looked to be Danielle's idea of:

OUTPUT LPT1: with the COLON being the key.

This works GREAT with a LOCAL printer, but fails on a network printer!!!

Danielle, if you are out there, any ideas on how to make your idea work if
the printer is a NETWORK printer?
