Look under the OS section of the FUNCTIONS list in the help file. You will
find three helpful functions for file manipulation:
CHKFILE: Checks if a file already exists (you must know the directory).
FINDFILE: Searches the path for a file and returns the complete file name.
FILENAME: Gives you a guaranteed unique filename (like the $$$ files R:Base
creates for its own use) that you can use to hold temporary stuff.
