<< How do I check in advance if the WORD/EXCEL filename exists or not ?
If_it_does - LAUNCH would apply
If_not - Create New or ZIP START would apply. >>
David,
I finally got a chance o get that snipet of code for checking file names. I
use the following commands:
set error var verr
DIR i:\stx\dx-fx-vv.080
set var vhold = .verr
SET ERROR VAR OFF
if vhold = 0 then
write 'File Exists. This can not be run until '
write 'the ASN's in STX are transmitted '
WRITE ' Press Any Key to Continue '
pause
ENDIF
show var vhold
return
In this example, I'm checkig for one file name, but the wildcards will work
too.
I hope this helps.
