Kristie,

As far as your report goes, right click on the field and choose Picture Format. Type in 99,999,999 and your field will print without the decimals. If you need decimals, set the picture format to 99,999,999.xxxxx where x= the number of decimal places you need.

In terms of the column, you may want to change to a NUMERIC data type where you can specify the scale and precision (i.e. 9,3 length of 9, 3 decimal points.)
You  can review this under data types in the HTML help files.

Good luck,

Subject: Column Problem?

I have a quick question....

I have a column that is "real" and I am trying to key in 10000000(10 million).  It shows up as 1.E7 in the table.

I also print a report with this column on it and have a picture format of 999,999,999 set up, but it still insist on printing 1.E7.

Any suggestions?

Windows Rbase version 6.5

Thanks,

Kristie
