When I first upgraded to RBW6.5++ I, too, had some oddities with the
browser/editor screen but they seem to have mainly gone away now. I can only
presume that some tables had data (Dos characters with accents, for example)
that Windows didn't like and I have since changed.

However, contrary to others comments, I do use the editor with set layout on
and _recently_ have had no problems BUT I do NOT use [F8] to move on to
another row. I DO press [Enter] for added or changed data or [Tab] if no
change through every column to the end.

What might be causing a problem is if you have hidden columns with layout on
and no default.
