Dennis,

During an R:BASE session, if you change the working directory
to somewhere else, you need to make sure to switch back to
where you started from, or where the other needed files are, to
continue the other part of your application.

I would suggest that you automate the process of printing the
Adobe Distiller portion and saving the report in different directory.

Should you need further details on automating the entire routine,
feel free to post.

There has been a great deal of discussion on this topic on this
official R:BASE list server. You may find a lot references.

Of course, The Magical R:BASE 7.0 for Windows includes  the
built-in technology of creating and managing PDF and more!
