Colleagues: Due to some recent reorganizations, I needed to rename a database that had several associated applications that were being maintained in Application Express. At first that appeared as simple as renaming the database in the startup block, and it even appears to run, but it turns out that Application Express is still looking for the original database name when you again access the "design" functions. This symptom shows up when you remove the original database from the directory that contains the renamed copy.
It seems like my choices are to use Codelock and give up on AE, or to stick with the original database name. Does anyone know an alternative that would let me continue to use Express to maintain the code, short of rebuilding the apps? Thanks John Ashby
