I never use express any more, and I think this will vary depending on what 
version of R:base you are using, but you need to tell express to connect to 
the new database.

If your original database is named ORIGDB and the new database is NEWDB, 
copy ORIGDB.RB? NEWDB.RB? so you have both database available to you.
Start EXPRESS, open your application, and under Settings choose "Select 
another database".  Now select the NEWDB database and exit out of express 
and save the changes.
