Are using using dos or windows version?? If you are using windows version, I believe you also need to change the database name in the apw file as well as the app file. You can use the R:Base editor. Backup up in case it don't work.

At first that appeared as simple as renaming the database in the startup block, and it even appears to run, but it turns out that Application Express is still looking for the original database name when you again access the "design" functions. This symptom shows up when you remove the original database from the directory that contains the renamed copy. It seems like my choices are to use Codelock and give up on AE, or to stick with the original database name. Does anyone know an alternative that would let me continue to use Express to maintain the code, short of rebuilding the apps?
