You are correct Ben! These are NOT TEMPORARY TABLES! They are regular tables
that get used everyday, but have no rows in them by the end of the day. For
each table that has disappeared and turned into a view, I have created a file
called ....tablename.str. After the table disappears, if I type LIST tablename,
Rbase acts like there is no such table. But if run the file to recreate the
table, it fails....cuz it is a duplicate table name! So....to fix it, I type
DROP tablename, then RUN tablename.str and voila...everything is back to
normal...except my brain! If all else fails, I can rewrite the code to use
temporary tables, and recreate them as needed, but just like Ben said.....I
would rather know what is going on before I create a work around.
