I have run into the following
problem: whenever I use Windows Rbase for several hours at a time (which I most
of the time), when I exit the application, the computer freezes for at least 1
minute, the same is true when using Microsoft Internet Explorer. For this and other reasons I am
considering upgrading from Windows 98 SE to Windows XP PRO. Are there any
issues to consider in regards to Rbase or any other software? I understand that the main issue when
upgrading is drivers; printers in particular. I use Microsoft pier-to-pier
network (ethernet CAT-5) to link 4 computers that run Windows 98. The printers
run off an ethernet 3-port print server (similar to HP Jet Direct) and include:
Minolta Color PageWorks laser, Lexmark Color Optra 1200 laser and HP Design Jet
2500CP plotter. Any suggestions, recommendations,
warnings and past experiences (good or bad) will be greatly appreciated. Javier Valencia,
