I decided to work with eqNull off just to develop a habit that is more universal. The only disadvantage that I've found is in complex views w/ expressions. There, the view definition is littered with "ifnull" functions and becomes tedious.
Also; I fill any numeric fields with 0's on insert to eliminate nulls. But, I've never figured out how to accomplish the equivalent thing with dates... has anyone else?
