Hi Razzak,

You are absolutely correct about the version.  After upgrading the OS to
Windows XP Professional a few months ago, I installed R:Base using the
R:Base 2000 (RBW6.5) CD, but forgot to apply the downloaded upgrade to
6.5++.  I also applied Patch 2.  So I had been using version 6.5 thinking
that it was 6.5++ all this time, until I hit the PROJECT TEMP brick wall a
few days ago.

I just applied the 6.5 ++ upgrade and Patch 2.  Everything is fine now.

I really appreciate your help, Razzak.  I would also like to thank list
members for jumping in.  Oversight could be costly.
