Brian,

My drive, ambition and commitment to our R:BASE community around the world
is to equip them with the best available database management system, cool graphical
user interface and incorporating all tools in one package at a fraction of the cost as
compared to other databases and development tools out there.

The Magical R:BASE 7.0 for Windows includes the built-in:

. Barcodes
. PDF Writer with imbedded distiller technology
. HTML Writer with the output option as CSS File or Java Script File
. RTF
. MS Excel
. GIF
. JPEG
. BMP
. EMF
. WMF
. TIFF
. Image conversion to:
DCX
PCC
PCX
AFI
VST
TGA
JPG
PNG
TIFF
BMP
ICO
EMF
WMF

. NOTE / VARCHAR / RTF / BLOB Viewer/Editor

. No need to spend additional $$$$ for Barcode, PDF and Image Writers/Converters!

. Using R:BASE 7.0 there is NO problem CONNECTing 6.x databases

. No problem to convert 6.5++ for Windows Forms/Reports/Labels
New/Converted Forms/Reports/Labels are stored in SYS_FORMS3, SYS_REPORTS3
and SYS_LABELS3 system tables accordingly.

. To convert from 6.5++ to 7.0:

SET MULTI OFF
SET AUTOUPGRADE ON
SET AUTOCONVERT ON
CONNECT dbname IDENTIFIED BY UserID Password

That's all to it ...

. All fully functional R:BASE 6.5++ for Windows Forms/Reports/Labels will need to
go through a SIMPLE and FULLY AUTOMATED "Convert" process. Once converted
to 7.0, you can take advantage of hundreds of NEW options and controls.

Should you require further assistance or need more details, please feel free to contact me.

Brian, you are ALWAYS welcome to join one of the "Inside R:BASE 7.0" training sessions
or let's get together some ski resorts and I'll be there, Captain Mowers!

Very Best Regards,

Razzak.

Razzak,
Still 'the man', are you saying I don't have to buy Adobe acrobat distiller?
I hope you can answer my few questions...
Does Rbase 7.0 have the distiller technology imbedded?
Does 7.0 attach to 6.x databases?
Does 7.0 read 6.x reports tables?
Is there any conversions from 6.x databases to 7.0?

Inquiring minds like to know.

Thanks again Razzak. Can't wait to talk to you again. Where are you skiing this year?
We are thinking of Colorado this year.

Is there any to call an Rbase report from R:tango perhaps through
a stored procedure or batch file and print a PDF document?

How about through version 7. That is supposed to do PDF docs.

Brian,

The Magical R:BASE 7.0 for Windows includes the built-in PDF
Writer to automate entire task of printing PDF documents at the
R> prompt, in a command file or as a stored procedure!

Prepare yourself - study, learn, develop and get ready for a wild ride!
