Razzak... IDQUOTES is changed and I still can't open the template. I even uninstalled and re-installed R:Merge. I can now enter my key from memory...
Oh, but wait... I have two other personal DB's to try with. They both work when I access them through R:Merge, they both have OWNER set to PUBLIC. All the system tables are as you indicate. AND, when I rename my OWNER identifier to PUBLIC in my corporate DB, it also works... So, that was the burr under my saddle! One step further... I reset my OWNER identifier to its previous value and now R:Merge works fine (after I enter the new user name in Tools, of course). The moral of this "fun" exercise seems to be: RESET OWNER identifier to PUBLIC before launching R:Merge the first time (those extra sys_tables are created), then RESET OWNER identifier to its previous value. ~Claudine :) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:owner-rbase-l@;sonetmail.com] On Behalf Of A. Is that my problem? Claudine, You don't have to have the Inline Patch-3, Build:1.859xRT03 to use R:Merge! You are welcome to test the Patch-3 beta, if you wish. Send your request to: mailto:rdcc@;rbasetechnologies.com Now, looking at the CHARacter SETtings below, I suggest that you SET the IDQUOTES to '`' i.e., single reversed quote on the same key with ~ (tilde). Example: CONNECT dbname SET IDQUOTES='`' (you may cut this line and then paste at the R> prompt) DISConnect FYI, IDQUOTES character is part of the database CHARacter settings. Now, launch the R:Merge, connect this database and see what happens.
