Claudine,

I love your humor and the attitude!

What are the CHARacter SETtings of your database?

After CONNecting the database, at the R> prompt:

SHOW CHAR

FYI, once CONNected successfully with either R:Merge 1.3,
R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++) Inline Patch-3, Build:1.859xRT03 or
R:BASE 7.0 for Windows, Five (5) new System Tables are
created, namely:

. SYS_FORMS3
. SYS_LAYOUTS3
. SYS_MERGE
. SYS_REPORTS3
. SYS_LABELS3

SYS_MERGE is used to manage the R:Merge related stuff.

Maybe, you can send me a sample of your database at
mailto:razzak@;razzak.com Yes, I'm curious.

Very Best Regards,

Razzak.

As Texans say: "I've never had so much fun since the hogs ett my little

But I still can't make it work... Sys_merge table is not there. I
edited/saved rbase.cfg, exited and relaunched R:Merge. I even
re-installed R:Merge with the repair option, then I un-installed and
re-installed it.

I can, however, edit/view/run all the templates in the samples DB

Claudine,

01. Are you able to see and and/or edit/view/run all templates in the
Sample CONCOMP
     database included with R:Merge?

02. Using The Glorious R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++), CONNect your database
and
at the
     R> prompt, type:

     LIST SYS%

Do you see SYS_MERGE table with 6 columns and 0 rows?

     If not, then:

Update your RBASE.CFG file to make sure that AUTOCONV (line 2) &
AUTOUPGR (line 6)
     is SET to ON

Save RBASE.CFG file and then EXIT R:BASE.

03. Launch R:Merge and then CONNECT your database and see if you are
able
to create a
     new template, etc.

Good luck and make sure to have fun!

Very Best Regards,

Razzak.
