Razzak,
There are two things that I am trying to accomplish other than explain
myself.
1. Doing one file at a time is solid. I can choose from a list or I can use
the shift F10 and navigate to the GIF directory. Both of these processes
will work fine for one file at a time. I have 300 animated GIFs that I
would like to load into the database but not one at a time. I was thinking
of a Load command where the "navigated to" directory was the source for the
files.
2. I want to see the file name and path of the data stored in the blob. The
value of column ImagData shows in the table as [GIF,53248,9862]. How can
one extract the filename and path from this, if this is possible.

Phil,

You can also use the same CHOOSE command (see below), with CHKBOX
or CHKBOX n option to specify the maximum number of selections a user
can check.

Then, you can parse the string (resulting text variable, separated by comma)
to INSERT the row(s) accordingly.

The #LFILES IN *.GIF displays all files in current directory in a pop-up
list,
unless the path IN filespec option is specified. You can save that path
as a separate variable to use in INSERT values or define as a variable,
for example ('\path\'+'filename.gif') to achieve the same goal.

Hope that helps!

Very Best Regards,

Razzak.
