Razzak, Thanks for your response.
I was trying to set walk menu on - if I do this manually the setting is changed. If I do nothing, (just start Rbase and then exit) part of the newly created CFG file looks like this. ; Format ;============================================================ DATE FORMAT MM/DD/YYYY DATE SEQUENCE MMDDYY DATE YEAR 30 DATE CENTURY 19 TIME FORMAT HH:MM:SS TIME SEQUENCE HHMMSS CURRENCY $ PREFIX 2 B ;============================================================ ; Colors ;============================================================ COLOR GRAY ON BLACK MENU BLACK ON GRAY DIALOG BLACK ON CYAN FIRST RED ON GRAY EXPLODE OFF If I go to the Settings, Configuration Settings, Characters menu, and click OK, but change nothing, it looks like the following:- ; Format ;============================================================ DATE FORMAT DD/MM/YYYY DATE SEQUENCE DDMMYYYY DATE YEAR 0 DATE CENTURY 20 TIME FORMAT HH:MM:SS TIME SEQUENCE HHMMSS CURRENCY $ PREFIX 2 B ;============================================================ ; Colors ;============================================================ COLOR GRAY ON BLACK MENU BLACK ON GRAY DIALOG BLACK ON CYAN FIRST RED ON GRAY EXPLODE OFF And then the error messages start. (You will see that Rbase has made a number of changes in the Format settings, particularly with the date to suit my Regional settings, but I have not tried to make any changes at all. I just go to the menu and click OK. If I click Cancel nothing changes and Rbase starts OK the next time, as would be expected.) I hope this helps. Regards. What happens if you modify the RBENGINE.CFG file manually to update those settings and then start RBG7? That will narrow down the boo-boo, if any!
