I'm not using RHide myself, but when I start RBase with a command file option, it seems to RHide itself (which is the desired behavior). So perhaps something is "going wrong" with the application while the main window is hidden and before my application's main menu can be displayed. R:Base never appears on the task bar, but perhaps that is tied in to the visibility of the application itself. That could be a failure to connect the database, but I have an error message displayed in that case. I'll need to check the code around there to see if that might be the problem.
