In my 20 years with R:BASE I have never had a date sort problem.
Are you doing the sort at R> ?
If you have the full date specified  dd-mm-yyyy then you should type in the full date not abbreviated dd-mm-yy. If you do it in code its not a problem.
 
Maybe your sort command is not correct. Please give details of your syntax used.

I have a table which contains a DATE column. The table appears corrupted since it now sorts improperly on date.  I thought I would try AUTOFIX. While listed in
the Help area, it appears not to be available. Is it gone or what?
