I have a client that complains of the same problem. They told me that if they re-boot the PC where the report was initiated, the problem disappears. It happens randomly on three of the five PCs that are used heavily. I have never been on site when the problem occurred but they showed me the results. All three of the machines that fail have XP Home OS and 512 meg of memory.
They never turn their PCs off so I asked them to reboot all of the PCs every Monday morning. They have done this for the past three weeks and have had no failures. Two weeks is the longest they had gone without seeing the problem before they started the Monday reboot procedure. I'm continuing to receive reports from a number of clients about R:Base sometimes printing a logo on a report as a solid black square. This happens unpredicatably. Sometimes the report prints fine, very occasionally it is wrong. In addition, I've just been shown an example of a watermark (printed using the angle label in the page style band of a report) that normall appears in a light gray color (set using the font color drop down on the report toolbar) occasionally printing in full black -- thus obscuring part of the report. Does anyone have any insight? -- Larry
