Given that the cost differential is minimal, I'd recommend 1gb of memory on
XP. The less work the OS has to do swapping to disk the better.
A client of mine is upgrading their very old hardware and network to a new
system, expressly to handle 7.5 for Windows in the coming months. I've sent
them the minimum requirements listed on the web site, but would appreciate
input from any of you who have recently been down the same road for
suggestions both on hardware and optimum network operating system.
