I agree with Javier on the simple
approach. The simplier the better.
However, when I developed a complicated report, it
could not print to the spreadsheet and show all the information.
The font size was 6, the report had 18 columns and I printed landscape
8-1/2 by 11. The data would not completely appear on the printout although
it looked great as a PDF report.
Solutions was to create another report with
the same fields, changed the font to Arial 10 and expanded the
length to 15.5". I then tested the placement
of each field on the report to ensure all the results printed.
Now when the print method of XLS is chosen (coded), the
program selects the correct report to use.
All the data comes through correctly with all
the calculated results. There are some lines that I removed but for
the most part, I can use the report as printed.
