I have send a sample privately to John on R:BASE ODBC reporting to EXCEL. Should any one else require it, e-mail me privately. The sample is set up with 7.1 ODBC Driver

Gary / Javier,
Thanks for the advice. I have been simplifying the report this morning – I changed the paper size to A3 landscape to make room available, put more space between the columns etc. and it all seems to work properly.
Gunnar – no hurry bit I would be interested to see what you have done.

I agree with Javier on the simple approach. The simplier the better.
However, when I developed a complicated report, it could not print to the spreadsheet and show all the information. The font size was 6, the report had 18 columns and I printed landscape 8-1/2 by 11. The data would not completely appear on the printout although it looked great as a PDF report.
Solutions was to create another report with the same fields, changed the font to Arial 10 and expanded the length to 15.5". I then tested the placement of each field on the report to ensure all the results printed. Now when the print method of XLS is chosen (coded), the program selects the correct report to use.
All the data comes through correctly with all the calculated results. There are some lines that I removed but for the most part, I can use the report as printed.
