I've had the pleasure of an RB-1 (or two), a Riv Road Standard, a Rambouillet, and, now, a Bleriot.
I have enjoyed each more than the previous; I think that has something to do with the progressions in geometry, but mostly with wider tires (and their help with -- chipseal, offroad excursions, etc). Nevertheless, I hear what's being said here. There was something nice about those RB-1s. In the spirit of the recent Sam Hillbornes, I'd recommend this be more of an RB-2, allowing: 1. Eyelets for fenders, rear rack 2. Mid-way BB (Kind of like the Bleriot -- 68-72mm drop), allowing choice of 700c or 650b (maybe even 559?) 3. Brakes - could go either way, but I've never been fond of cantis I might want it a hair stouter, as we're always lugging some gear or groceries around. Of course, this is sounding a lot like our Bleriots ...
