actually Tony, I carry Spyderco Natives in my bike bags. Two of them were
first run from US, and were closed out very inexpensively because they were
a trial run with 440C blades. The third Native I have is a Seki City knife
and is VG-10. The fixed blades come out on camping trips - one at a time,
of course.
Another favorite is a Kiko Matusada kiridashi. I bought this from him,
Damascus layered VG-10 and nickel - it was the last he on had from a run,
and he had to get another billet before he began a second run (I had to
beg). Though I don't wear this around my neck when I bike - I have too
many MD friends with ER time.
