I just installed an older Specialized (ISO) headset in a frame that apparently called for a JIS headset. I naturally assumed my 1-inch headset would fit my 1-inch head tube (right?)...and would have blindly attempted the install had I not caught wind of the subtle difference from a forum post. I used my Dremel tool to grind off 2 tenths of a millimeter to make the head set fit; otherwise I surely would have struggled (and used some bad 4-letter words)...
