My Sam is recent, purchased in May. Blue 51. The geo chart for my Sam gives 53 as the space between chainstay crimps. With Surly Knards, I see at least 3-4mm on either side, maybe more.
The Maxxis Pace supposedly* fits a bit smaller than listed width, at least on something like my 19mm inner-width rims. My goal is to find the perfect summer trail tire.
