1. I suggest outfitting them with orange reflective vests for greater visibility. I have no proof but I feel like, at stops, drivers notice me and seem to wait to see what my next move will be before they take their turn.
2. Find a route without 4-ways, if possible. Not kidding. I ride out of the way routes to avoid intersections, traffic circles, roads, etc. that I feel are dangerous. I enjoy lonely neighborhood roads. My commute miles are 12 by car, 17 by bike for this reason.
