Welcome and enjoy your new bicycle. After some 8 years of trying, I now can ride without making every ride a time trial, and, while I still enjoy a good road bike more than any other kind of bike, and while I still like to push myself, at least I now take the time to warm up first, and hold exertion to a pleasant level.
