Thanks, Tim. 1. I haven't adjusted the limit screws at all and the previous shifters pulled plenty of cable for my xd2 triple, so I don't think this is the problem. 2. I noticed "hard stop" of the shifter around the middle position prior to tensioning the FD cable, so I don't think this is it, either. 3. The FD is a Campy clamp-on that came on my Sam when it was built by Riv in '09. I don't know the model.
The "hard stop" that I'm noticing in the middle position of the shifter makes me think I somehow reassembled it poorly when I went to re-attach it to the pod, but I took it apart once and tried to fix it and couldn't figure it out.
