My Sam had cantilevers (IRDs, set up by Riv staff -- best brakes I've ever used in terms of stopping power, light touch, and modulation or feel -- and, while it's been 6-7 years, I don't think mine could take such fat tires. I ran Jack Brown Greens. Perhaps I mis-remember.
