One thought on this is that hyperglide or any profiled tooth cassette is made with ramps (for lack of a better word) & the cogs spacing is integral with the function of the profiling. By changing the spacing the profiles of the teeth won't line up properly. I can't imagine that this would have much effect on your situation but it could
