What kind of riding will you use the Romanceur for? That will determine gearing, of course, as well as other setup.
The frame looks well thought out, though I'd be somewhat between sizes as far as top tubes go. I'll be interested to learn more about your build and about how it rides. And, I don't think it's too far OT at all; its Rivendellian or at least Rivendell-esque, if not a Rivendell. Drivetrain: If it were *mine*, this is what I'd do (27" wheel). Silver bar end shifters.
