SP and DP have it correct. I’m riding almost every day and I’m doing
comparatively little hammering. The first three weeks of this was built on a
daily commute routine made up of four little six mile stages. Anybody can ride
six miles at a conversational pace, but when you throw together a 1000 Mile
month out of many many little six mile rides, you’re already in a good place to
build on it. Once I had that base in August I was able to throw in longer and
harder big days among flatter easier cruising days.
