I wanted to update this in case other folks read this wondering if V-brakes will fit their hunq. I installed the XTR M951 V-brakes on my Hunq with Haulin Collin rack and they fit great. They, unfortunately, were worn out (lots of slop in the pivots) and squealed like a banshee no matter what I did so I returned them (props to Pro's Closet for 30 day returns on used parts) and went with the XT t780's that Riv sells. Both the XTR's and the XT's fit the same, the cable was close to the center strut/support but it cleared no problem. The XT brakes are great and work perfectly with super easy set up. I think fenders would be fine so my experience basically mirrors Jeremy's. I'm running a 2.35" front tire and the brakes would not be the limiting factor in tire size. My Hunq is a newer style green bike but not the newest lengthened version.
