Thanks for your notes, and for the picture and measurements.

If one of you could do the following measurement for me, I'd be extremely 
grateful:


   - Could you please measure from the center of the front wheel axel a in 
   straight line to the top of the headset (but not spacers).  
   - Also could you please measure from the top of the seat tube (ignoring 
   the little part that pokes out) parallel to the ground to where your tape 
   measure hits the center of the head tube or stem? Measure from center of 
   seat tube to center of head tube, if that makes sense. Someone else emailed 
   me directly and is doing the same for a 56 for me. I'll post the results 
   for everyone to see, if it's of use!
