Like Justin, I've receive 2 tickets for rolling through stop signs, in the
middle of suburbia. One was riding to daily class to CSUN in Northridge CA,
second one coming from a geo friends house, different neighborhood but same
town. First time I refused to give the cop physical proof of my identity
because I was so angry that I was being pulled over at a 4-way stop you can
see 100s of yards in all directions. I think I slowed enough to stop but
did not put my foot down. Threatened me with jail, so he followed me to my
house and confirmed by identity with my girlfriend then wrote the ticket.
Last time, like you Joel, I "matched" the identity of someone who just
robbed a bank. I wrote that up on the ibob list, the list topic was "Do You
Have a Name for Your Bike?" The Schwinn Voyageur was then called the Bank
Robbery Bike after that traffic stop.
