You may be right; I speak only of my own Roadeo, bought second or third hand (but very little used); I don’t know if it was customized in some way. But OTOH, I’ve ridden scores if not hundreds of bikes over 65 years and I’ve got a pretty well calibrated seat-on-saddle for this sort of difference.
