I think at the heart of the matter is the notion of length/angle (or magnitude/phase) pairs, which in mathematics/physics are known as a vectors:
http://www.physics.uoguelph.ca/tutorials/vectors/vectors.html To me, when it comes to how a bike *fits* a rider, there are only two vectors on a bike that matter: 1: The vector from center of bottom bracket to the seat 2 The vector from center of bottom bracket to the bars Once you have these determined, there will of course be a third vector from the seat to the bars, but its length and angle is completely determined by the other two. Of course this is only for fit and not handling, for which there are tons of vectors that matter, and taste plays a larger role. Another thing to keep in mind is that your body's dimensions and composition change as you age or change weight, or physical fitness. So does your taste and style of riding. What was a perfect fit for you last year or two years ago, might not be anymore- but 90% of that IMHO can be corrected for by stem height/ length and seat fore/aft/up/down adjustment. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
