I don't understand this wandering effect in the front end. I'm on a 56cm Hillborne with a VO 30mm setback seatpost with the B17 almost all the way back ( long femurs) and the bike seems rock solid. I have not had any load on it but the bike is the most stable bike I've ever owned. FTR I"m 5' 11" with an 86 PBM and long arms.
Have you checked the headset to make sure its adjusted correctly? Perhaps it was not seated properly when installed? The Fisher bikes are long top tube bikes. On my mountain bike I run a 600mm top tube with a 32mm setback seatpost/105mm stem and it fits great. Have you tried sliding the seat forward a cm or so?
