Sometimes I've seen mis-marked packages, or cables with undersized/oddly shaped ends that won't seat properly or drop in too far.
I will add that high quality housing will sometimes make a huge difference. I used a kind of axially wound (instead of spiral wound) housing on the road BB7s on my Monocog (the housing looks like beefed up index system derailleur cable) and it made a huge difference: the rear would earlier squeeze to the bar with little result; afterward, the best rear braking I've had for any kind of brake with any kind of setup -- almost hydraulic disk in feel. -- Patrick Moore Albuquerque, NM For professional resumes, contact Patrick Moore, ACRW at [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
