Marty:

Yes, I knew you were in PA... That's great, I'll add you to the
list... (Already we've got at least a half-dozen interested... a good
start.)

And the C&O Canal is definitely a great idea, and one that has long
been on my list. For that I'd really like to consider at least 4-7
days, though to do a "proper" C&O tour. Besides, the logistics part
becomes more challenging when it's a point-to-point that requires
staging cars... It's possible, just tougher to stage. My idea of the
perfect weekend ride is a loop, with a 40-50 mile route on Saturday
with a nice stayover, then a different route on the return. In fact,
a few friends and I have planned a 2-day ride from the Delaware Water
Gap to Milford PA, where we'll ride the historic Old Mine Road up the
NJ side to Milford, stay the evening, then ride back through Stokes
State Forest, along the Kittatinny Ridge in NJ, then drop down to the
Paulinskill rail trail to complete the 45 mile ride back to the Gap.
We'll do this credit card style, with little more than a change of
clothes. (Let's hope we beat the snow!)

Peace,
BB
