Patrick, I would have bet my fancy Platrack that you'd have a Wald on the front of your Riv.
I love the practicality of my basket, although I semi-agree with you... I'd way prefer a cool-looking wicker basket... The challenge is to find a nice one that is strong enough and can withstand the elements and abuse. For me that would probably mean a wire-reinforced faux wicker basket (like the indestructo furniture on my deck)... On the other hand I can just as easily paint my cheapo Wald basket a really cool, glossy green color, add some decorative antique bling on the basket (no I'm not kidding) and line the bottom with shellacked wood strips... That would make one fine-lookin, highly functional, bad- ass basket... (My friend with the carbon Pinarello will want one for his ride)... And I can remove my basket with just a few quick snips of the zipties... That said, when you find a good wicker basket that can do half the job of a Wald, let me know....seriously. Peace, Bobby "I thought I knew you" Birmingham On Nov 17, 7:26 pm, PATRICK MOORE <[email protected]> wrote: > I still shudder slightly, inwardly, at the thought of putting a Wald > on a nice Rivendell.
