After a number of unsatisfactory experiments, I settled on the new VO rackaluer. The bag sits squarely on the rack and is fairly stable when fully loaded, but I still use the side straps attached to the bars. I gave up on the (threadless) stem mounted decaleur and Mark's rack because the bag height was a mismatch.
