I've had the WTB Dirt Drops on my Quickbeam since I got it in 2004. I
would never change them, unless they broke. My online friends
constantly changing their bars baffles me. I didn't like the Noodles
that came with the QB, so I gave them away. I didn't like the
(technomic and dirt drop) stems I tried either, until I put my old
Salsa on.

Midge bars are different. I have them on my mountain bike. They're
similar and good, but if the WTBs broke, I'd probably try the
Woodchipper or Ragley bars first. I like the narrow tops and steeply
slanted hooks of the WTB, and the Midge has less of each.

I have moustache bars on another bike, and I like them well enough.
Again, there's a narrow 'hoods' position, uber-wide leverage position,
and a moderate cruising position.

So that's my vote. Flared drops or moustache bar, set up with an
appropriate stem. The Simpleone is a singlespeed bike, and off-
roadable, two situations where leverage matters. It's also a good road
bike, where you might want to tuck your elbows in and just GO.
