I'm not a fan of drops, either. My arms are too short. On a singlespeed/fixed gear, I want something wide for leverage. If you go with a flared drop like the On One Midge, be aware that you will have to be stretched out and on the hooks to take advantage of the bars width when standing and stoping on the pedals! It is (if I recall correctly) must narrorwer at the brake hoods than a super-wide Nitto drop bar.
